Scholarships & Financial Aid

Merit-based Scholarships

St. Mary's Academy offers a variety of merit-based scholarships to incoming 9th grade students based on an applicant's demonstrated excellence. Aside from submitting an admissions application, applicants do not need to complete any extra steps to be considered for merit scholarships. All 9th grade applicants are considered.

Merit-based scholarships are awarded to 9th grade applicants who demonstrate the highest level of excellence in one or more of the following areas:

  • Leadership
  • Community Service
  • Specified Talents
  • Academic Excellence
  • Top HSPT Scores

The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is required for 9th grade applicants wanting to be considered for merit scholarships. Students are strongly encouraged to take the HSPT at St. Mary's Academy.

Need-based Aid

At the heart of St. Mary's Academy's mission is the commitment to provide a Catholic, college-preparatory education to young women of all economic backgrounds. We recognize that a private school education is a significant investment. The purpose of our Financial Aid Program is to offer student families financial support so that they may access a Catholic education, which might otherwise be inaccessible.

St. Mary's Academy works with FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment to administer our Financial Aid Program. When submitting the FACTS application, there is an application fee of $45. In order to be eligible each year, financial aid must be applied for annually.

Need-based aid includes funds awarded by the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF) and other sources. Eligibility is determined annually through the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment via its online application and CEF income guidelines.

The priority application deadline for need-based aid is December 1, 2025 for new students. The traditional application deadline for need-based aid is January 16, 2026. Applications received after January 16, 2026 will be evaluated in the order in which they are received and awarded as funds are available.
