Current Teaching Assignments/Duties
Dr. Anderson is excited to enter his third year at St. Mary's Academy as Vice Principal after spending a decade in various roles in Catholic High Schools across California. He began his career as a Social Studies teacher, Coach, and student moderator and has served in other roles such as Dean of Students, Advanced Placement Coordinator, and Department Chair. Dr. Anderson is a Southern California native but has spent time in Northern Idaho and Northern California before returning to the Los Angeles area in 2012. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Idaho in Secondary Education with an Emphasis in Social Teaching. He earned his master's degree in Catholic School Administration from Loyola Marymount University in 2015 and completed his doctoral studies at LMU in Educational Leadership for Social Justice. Dr. Anderson believes a collaborative school environment is key to developing successful students and teachers. He believes partnerships with parents and community stakeholders are essential to enriching the experience at St. Mary's Academy. During his free time, Dr. Anderson enjoys reading and exploring all of the unique experiences the Los Angeles area has to offer.
