Hello Alumnae and Friends of St. Mary's Academy,

Our school will be celebrating an important milestone this school year - 130 years of educating young women! What an honor to be part of this rich history of education. While there have been significant changes with the school over the last 130 years  - no longer located in the city of Los Angeles, different uniform, several different class courses, and different and various ways of learning, what is the same is the sisterhood, several traditions, the passion of our faculty to empower and enrich our students academic lives, and the presence of a faith based education.

As the surrounding community is growing and changing with the addition of new entertainment and sports attractions, new forms of transportation and student educational opportunities in the Arts field, we are growing in curricular offerings, extracurricular activities, community partnerships, and student enrollment. The growth of our school simply would not be possible were it not for the kindness and generosity of you, our alumnae and friends.

The gifts of your time, talent, and treasure have allowed the students to engage in activities that enrich what it taught in the classrooms, enhance the technology used in course work and throughout the school, and refresh interior and exterior recreational spaces of the school. During this year of celebration, we look forward to continued work on projects with our alumnae, friends and partners, Foundations, the students and their parents, our faculty, staff, and Board members.

If you are new to our school community, or a long time partner, please know you are always welcome to stop by the school for a visit and to spend some time walking the halls and visiting classrooms to experience the enthusiastic teaching and learning. Please don’t hesitate to contact me for a personal guided tour!

Thank you for being part of our giving community.  May our heavenly Father continue to bless you, our partners, and shed His grace on our dear school, as St. Mary's Academy celebrates 130 years of education.

With gratitude,

Jeanne Fisher
