Lights, Camera, Action!

The Cinemagic Project exposed students from SMA and Cathedral High School to the film industry, learning everything from script writing, directing, producing, CGI, cinematography, to acting. Students had the opportunity to work with local professionals in the industry, under the direction of Cinemagic, a UK organization located in Belfast, Ireland. For the past six months the students have been perfecting their script. Filming occurred this week at SMA where many students got to be "extras"! The short film deals with teenage depression and will be released in the spring. Costs for this experience were underwritten by outside individuals & organizations including The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick of Los Angeles. Students from both schools had so much fun and it was an invaluable learning experience. Thank you to all that helped make this possible! We can’t wait to see the finished product.
