Admissions Process
Step 1: Admissions Placement Test - Please complete the Entrance Exam Reservation Form and return to us with your $50.00 application fee by January 31, 2010.
Step 2: The Application Process - Complete the APPLICATION FORM:
Include the following: - Application Fee ($50.00). this fee is non-refundable and it also covers the Freshman Entrance Exam
- Submit student's personal essay
- Mail us the applicant's first semester report card as soon as possible. A copy of the third quarter grades must be sent to the Admissions Office as soon as they become available.
- Make a copy of the completed application for your records
- If your daughter is applying for acceptance to our Health Careers Program, her essay on "Why I would like to participate in Saint Mary's Health Careers Program", should be returned with the application form.
Step 3: Principal, English and Math Teacher Recommendations - Print the student's name on each of the Recommendation Forms.
- Give the forms to the student's Principal, English and Math teacher. They will return the forms directly to us. Please provide your teachers or principals with stamped enevelopes addressed to:
Attn: Admissions Office Saint Mary's Academy 701 Grace Avenue Inglewood, California 90301 - Give the authorization for Release of Records to an official at your daughter's present school.
- Please do not send personal recommendation letters other than those requested.
Step 4: Interview/School Visit - All applicants are required to have an interview prior to admission.
Interviews will be held at Saint Mary´s. Appointment for interviews may be made on Saturday, January 31, 2010 (Day of Placement Test). - With your permission, and the permission of your daughter's principal and eighth grade teacher, your daughter is welcome to spend a school day at Saint Mary´s Academy. Please call the Admissions Office to schedule a visit.
- ADMISSIONS DECISIONS WILL TAKE PLACE UPON THE COMPLETION OF STEP FOUR.
Step 5: Tuition & Financial Aid - When notified of your daughter's acceptance to Saint Mary´s Academy,please submit the $350.00 non--refundable registration fee to the Business Office.
- Make an appointment with the Business Office to complete the F.A.C.T.S. form (an automatic tuition payment plan).
- Financial aid applications must be received no later than April 6, 2010.
